As a Security Officer - Armed Retail Site Patrol in Waxahachie, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you'll play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents at a prominent retail location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols, remaining highly visible, and responding to incidents as needed. This is an armed post, where you'll use your training to address security-related matters and provide a reassuring presence to those around you. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and customers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the retail location and its perimeter to assist with identifying and reporting suspicious activity, hazards, and maintenance issues.
  • Maintain awareness of the surroundings to help to deter theft, unauthorized access, and/or disorderly conduct within the retail environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to assist with controlling access and observing the flow of individuals.
  • Document and report incidents, observations, and/or concerns to the appropriate Allied Universal supervisors and/or client representatives.
  • Interact courteously with customers, employees, and visitors to provide information and assistance as needed.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and client-specific protocols, especially regarding the handling and carrying of firearms as an armed patrol officer.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Possess a Level III Armed Certification for positions located in Texas.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
