As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol in VIRGINIA BEACH, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will play a vital role in helping to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with staff, patients, and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner within the healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access.
• Assist with the monitoring of entrances, exits, and other sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized persons from entering restricted zones.
• Report and document any security-related incidents, hazards, or suspicious activity observed during patrols.
• Maintain a professional presence and interact with staff, patients, and visitors to provide assistance and information as needed.
• Follow all Allied Universal and client site protocols while performing assigned duties at the healthcare location.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• A valid state security guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
