Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Unit in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind to those you serve. Using your expertise and armed training, you will conduct routine patrols and remain visible to support a secure environment. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to assist in maintaining order within the location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the premises and perimeter, monitoring for unusual activity and assisting with the enforcement of site protocols.
  • Assist with access control and verify identification to help to deter unauthorized entry or activity.
  • Document and report observations, incidents, and/or irregularities according to site and Allied Universal procedures.
  • Support law enforcement and/or emergency responders as directed during incidents occurring within the location.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to changing conditions or potential threats at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have a minimum of 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
  • Hold an Armed Guard Card or License as required by state and/or local laws and regulations.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
