Job Description


As a Security Officer - Aerospace Facility Patrol Driver in Melbourne, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a leading aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. Your visible presence and routine patrols help to deter security-related incidents, while your focus on exceptional customer service and communication supports a welcoming atmosphere. This is a driving post, so you will operate vehicles as part of your daily responsibilities. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
  • Monitor the premises for unusual activity and report findings according to site protocols.
  • Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and contractors in the aerospace and defense environment.
  • Complete required documentation and logs regarding patrols, observations, and incidents as directed by Allied Universal or site management.
  • Follow all site-specific post orders and instructions for the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have a minimum of three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
