Job Description


As a Security Officer – Hospital Morgue Monitor in Pittsburgh, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining visible throughout the facility. Your role involves supporting hospital staff, interacting with patients and visitors, and responding to various situations with professionalism and empathy. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond appropriately to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques when required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related incidents and unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and assist staff, patients, and visitors as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare personnel to address security-related concerns and provide assistance in a professional manner.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Remain alert and observant while on duty, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances within the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must meet hospital requirements, including providing proof of required vaccinations.
  • Must be able to work in hospital environments including morgue settings.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals as required in a hospital setting.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
