Job Description


As a Security Guard - Media Campus Unarmed Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will actively monitor and patrol designated areas within a dynamic tech and media location, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment for all personnel and assets. Your presence and routine patrols will help foster a sense of confidence among employees and visitors, while your exceptional communication skills and customer service will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the operations of the technology, media, and telecom location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report any security-related concerns.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related hazards within the facility, using Allied Universal protocols.
  • Assist with access control, verifying identity and/or credentials as required by site-specific guidelines.
  • Collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal team members to support a secure environment for personnel and property at the location.
  • Document security-related incidents and maintain accurate logs as required by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
