As a Security Officer - Patrol - Part Time in Petaluma, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Professional with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols and maintaining a highly visible presence. Your role will focus on monitoring assigned areas, addressing potential concerns, and providing exceptional customer service to all individuals in the environment. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity, while always putting people first and creating a welcoming atmosphere for staff, patients, and visitors.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within a healthcare environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to observe for potential security-related concerns and help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas, helping to control access and report unusual behavior or incidents as required.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff to address security-related needs and assist in managing challenging situations with professionalism.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, observations, and incidents for review by Allied Universal and/or client management.
  • Participate in ongoing training related to security-related procedures and healthcare-specific protocols to maintain readiness for various situations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
