Job Description


As a Security Officer - Government Patrol NYS License in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a member of the Allied Universal team, you will conduct regular patrols at a prominent government location, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible and approachable presence. Your role will involve monitoring designated areas, engaging with the public, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. You will play a key part in fostering a secure environment and supporting the values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity that define Allied Universal.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies and/or responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible presence.
  • Document and report any suspicious behaviors, incidents, or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Work collaboratively with site staff and visitors to promote a welcoming and secure environment within the government location.
  • Remain attentive to site conditions and promptly address any security-related issues or hazards observed during patrols.
  • Follow all Allied Universal protocols and instructions as part of daily assignments.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • A minimum of one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
