As a Security Professional - Utilities Access Driver in Monroe, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment within a utilities location. You will be required to drive as part of your responsibilities, making a valid driver's license essential. What You'll Do:

  • Carry out access control procedures as outlined in site-specific policies for utility locations.
  • Provide customer service to all personnel and visitors while performing security-related duties.
  • Assist in emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, using problem-solving skills.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access to the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and surrounding perimeter, as required by post procedures.
  • Document and report security-related incidents and/or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with all individuals encountered during the performance of security-related tasks.
  • Follow all client and Allied Universal guidelines regarding access control and incident response.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
