As a Security Officer Armed Patrol – Financial in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. What You'll Do:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations with a calm, problem-solving approach, while following established protocols.
  • Conduct frequent and random patrols throughout the financial institution’s premises, including the interior and the surrounding area, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying identification, and maintaining a visible presence to help to deter potential threats.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports pertaining to security-related incidents, patrols, and observations during each shift.
  • Work cohesively with law enforcement and emergency response personnel as needed, providing information and assistance during incidents.
  • Follow all local, state, and federal regulations regarding the carrying and use of firearms while on post.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor, appearance, and conduct at all times while representing Allied Universal at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Have a minimum of three years combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
