As a Security Officer - Access Control Manufacturing in Calhoun, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As an Access Control Officer in a manufacturing and industrial setting, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances, managing badge access, and responding to alarm panels. Your presence on site will support a secure environment for employees and visitors. You will utilize computer or tablet systems, interact with individuals in a professional manner, and deliver outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and control access to the premises, verifying credentials of individuals entering or leaving the location to help maintain a secure environment.
  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
  • Document and report any irregularities, security-related issues, or unusual occurrences according to company and client protocols.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed, assisting with evacuation procedures and coordinating with emergency services as needed.
  • Communicate professionally with onsite personnel, management, and/or emergency responders to relay relevant information regarding incidents or access control matters.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
