Job Description


As a Security Professional - Armed Government Patrols Full-Time in Raleigh, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Armed Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents. Your presence will help foster a secure environment for staff and visitors while you respond to incidents and provide outstanding customer service. As this is an armed position, you will be responsible for upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
  • Monitor and report any suspicious behavior, security-related hazards, or unusual occurrences encountered during patrols.
  • Operate and maintain awareness of security-related equipment including radios and firearms in accordance with training and company policy.
  • Document all incidents and activities accurately in daily reports and/or as required by post orders.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed during critical situations.
  • Maintain visibility throughout the location to help to deter potential disturbances or unauthorized access.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
