As a Security Professional - Armed Patrol Government Facility in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This armed position involves conducting routine patrols and interacting with the public to provide exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment within the government location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or access.
  • Monitor for unusual behavior or unauthorized individuals, and report findings according to established protocols.
  • Maintain visibility throughout the location to help to deter potential incidents and provide assistance to employees, visitors, and guests.
  • Operate and carry assigned firearms in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and procedures.
  • Complete incident and patrol reports, documenting activities and observations as required by Allied Universal and the site.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as needed during incidents or emergencies at the government location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Must have at least 6 months of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
