As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Driver in Bay City, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed professional with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling designated retail and mall locations. Your visible presence and routine patrols will contribute to a secure environment, while you provide exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies within the retail or mall location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting customers, visitors, and employees as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols inside the business and around the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a visible presence.
• Observe and report any suspicious activities, hazards, or security-related incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas.
• Follow emergency response protocols as directed, including assisting with evacuations or other site-specific actions when appropriate.
• Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters and incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Applicants should be comfortable using a computer or tablet; this is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
