As a Security Officer - Tech/Media Patrol Rounds in Bristow, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech environment, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols and monitoring designated areas. Your presence will contribute to a secure atmosphere for everyone on site. You will engage with employees and visitors, providing excellent customer service and communication. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for operating a vehicle while performing your patrol duties. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor ingress and egress points to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a secure environment.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or concerns according to site protocols.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal management to address security-related matters and improve response strategies.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential issues and provide reassurance to occupants and visitors.
  • Remain alert to potential security-related risks and promptly communicate concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Experience with access control systems and/or badge operations is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
