Job Description


As a Security Officer - Auto Patrol Driver in Plymouth, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading auto industry location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the premises. Your role will involve monitoring assigned areas, responding to incidents, and assisting with access control, all while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the automotive facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and critical areas within the location to help to deter trespassing or suspicious behavior.
  • Document and report any unusual incidents, hazards, or maintenance needs observed while on patrol.
  • Collaborate with site management and local authorities as needed in response to incidents or emergencies.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and client-specific guidelines, maintaining awareness of the unique environment and operations within the automotive location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
