As a Security Officer - Access Control in Cleveland, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control professional with Allied Universal in a logistics and distribution setting, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and conduct routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or exit within logistics and distribution locations.
  • Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises to maintain site-specific protocols.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and delivery personnel in accordance with location policies and procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of access control activity, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and client site policies.
  • Communicate promptly and clearly with Allied Universal management, local law enforcement, and/or emergency personnel as needed during incidents.
  • Support emergency response activities by following established procedures and cooperating with first responders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Previous experience in loss prevention is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Possession of a Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
