As a Security Guard - Patrol Driver (Auto Sector) in Normal, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading automotive location, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment by conducting regular patrols and remaining highly visible throughout your assigned areas. Your presence will help to deter potential security-related incidents while you deliver outstanding customer service and clear communication to everyone on site. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by implementing security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding as needed to emergencies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the auto facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor the premises for unusual activity, hazards, or situations that may require intervention or escalation according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Document and report observations, incidents, and activities as required, maintaining accurate and timely records.
  • Collaborate with site staff and law enforcement when necessary to address security-related matters and support the overall operation of the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
