As a Security Officer – Access Control Specialist in New Stanton, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Loss Prevention, and more. As an Access Control Officer, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a loss prevention-focused location, helping to deter security-related incidents and manage access points. What You'll Do:

  • Control access to the location by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas.
  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and vendors by responding to inquiries and assisting with directions or procedures.
  • Implement security-related procedures and site-specific policies to support loss prevention efforts.
  • Monitor the premises using surveillance equipment and conduct walkthroughs as required to observe for suspicious activity or potential risks.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
  • Collaborate with site management and law enforcement as needed to address security-related concerns.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed and accurate incident reports and logs regarding access control activities and any observed issues.
  • Participate in regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter theft and other loss-related incidents.
  • Support emergency response activities by following established protocols and communicating with relevant personnel when necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
