Job Description


As a Security Officer - Aero/Defense Patrol in Wilson, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents within an aerospace and defense location. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and engaging with employees and visitors to provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide exceptional customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, while assisting with emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the needs of the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify any unusual conditions.
  • Observe and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or suspicious behaviors to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a strong presence and act as a visible representative of Allied Universal to help to deter potential disruptions within the location.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and contractors, providing information and assistance as required.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports concerning patrols, incidents, and other security-related matters according to site and company protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Applicants should be comfortable using a computer or tablet, this is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
