Job Description


As a Security Guard - Manufacturing Site - Morning Shift in Lafayette, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a leading manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible throughout your shift. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication, supporting a welcoming and secure environment for everyone on site. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for conducting patrols by vehicle as needed. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, adhering to site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as directed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for any unusual conditions or activities and report observations according to established protocols.
  • Support access control measures by verifying credentials of individuals entering the premises.
  • Communicate with Allied Universal management and client representatives as needed to address concerns or incidents.
  • Assist in the implementation of emergency response actions as required on site.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
