Job Description


As a Security Officer - Logistics Screener Driver in Fort Myers, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a logistics and distribution setting, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence and attention to detail. You will conduct routine patrols and play a key role in access control, supporting a secure environment while delivering outstanding customer service. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license in the state of employment. What You'll Do:

  • Conduct screening of individuals entering the logistics and distribution location, following site-specific procedures and protocols.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors, contractors, and employees with inquiries and directions related to access control.
  • Carry out security-related procedures as outlined by Allied Universal and location-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, initiating appropriate emergency response activities as needed.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of screening activities and incidents as required by site protocols.
  • Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items from entering the location.
  • Maintain a professional presence at screening checkpoints, upholding the standards of Allied Universal and the client location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possession of a state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Prior customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
