As a Security Professional Flex - Unarmed Government Patrol in San Francisco, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Officer in a government location, you will be responsible for conducting unarmed patrols, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents, and delivering exceptional customer service. You will interact with staff and visitors, report observations, and respond to incidents as needed. This position is an armed post, requiring you to maintain the highest level of professionalism and integrity. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the location, including both the interior and perimeter areas, to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas during patrols to help to deter unauthorized access and report unusual activity.
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management, site staff, and/or emergency personnel as required.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities during each shift according to Allied Universal and client protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduation from a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of law enforcement experience, or 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Baton certification is preferred.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
