As a Security Officer – Armed Patrol – Retail in Round Rock, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a strong, reassuring presence. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining visible to help deter unwanted activity, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies while providing customer service to clients and visitors at the retail location.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, utilizing problem-solving skills and following emergency response protocols as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail premises and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any suspicious activities or security-related concerns to the appropriate parties.
• Engage professionally with customers, employees, and visitors, representing Allied Universal while supporting a welcoming environment.
• Follow all company and client guidelines regarding the handling and possession of firearms while on duty as an armed patrol security professional.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have a minimum of three years combined experience in law enforcement, military, or security-related work, or possess a college degree.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Must possess a Level III armed certification for roles in Texas.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• An armed guard card or armed guard license is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
