Job Description


As a Security Officer - Healthcare Facility Patrol Driver in Van Nuys, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for staff, visitors, and patients. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order and assist those in need.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and address any potential concerns.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities accurately and in a timely manner as required by site-specific protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff to help to address security-related needs and provide assistance as requested.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential security-related issues and provide reassurance to staff, patients, and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A minimum of one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) as required by the client.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
