Job Description


As a Security Professional - Patrol Driver Healthcare in Van Nuys, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor assigned areas and conduct regular patrols to help deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service. Your visible presence helps maintain a welcoming atmosphere for patients, staff, and visitors. This is a driving post, so you will operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or disruptions.
  • Report and document security-related incidents, observations, and hazards as outlined in site-specific procedures.
  • Assist with emergency response activities and follow established protocols as directed by Allied Universal and site management.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or security-related risks.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and staff to provide information and maintain a welcoming presence.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A minimum of one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required as specified by the client.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Familiarity with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
