As a Security Guard - Healthcare Facility Patrol Driver in Van Nuys, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Professional with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment for all. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to staff, patients, and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors at the healthcare location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior. Working environments and conditions may vary based on the specific site.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or activity.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal protocols and the requirements of the healthcare location.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency personnel as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED, as required by the client.
• A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
