Job Description


As a Security Professional - Front Desk Specialist CRE in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent commercial real estate location, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and secure environment for tenants and visitors. Your primary responsibilities will include managing access control, greeting guests, and providing excellent customer service while monitoring security-related activities at the front desk. You will help to deter incidents through your professional presence and support, all while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. This post requires a valid driver's license in the job state.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Monitor access at the front desk, verifying identification and credentials to help to deter unauthorized entry into the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Maintain accurate logs and reports of daily activities, visitor interactions, and/or incidents occurring at the front desk.
  • Support emergency response activities by following established protocols and communicating with appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with inquiries and provide directions or information to visitors and employees as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
