Job Description


As a Security Professional - Chemical Armed Patrol Driver in Saint Louis, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a chemical and petrochemical location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This armed and driving post involves conducting thorough patrols, assisting with access control, and supporting a secure environment through professional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate de-escalation techniques.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including business areas and the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and check identification to help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas.
  • Document incidents, observations, and any unusual activities according to Allied Universal and/or client protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with site personnel and law enforcement when necessary to address incidents or emergencies.
  • Maintain a strong security-related presence to help to deter unwanted activity, while providing customer-oriented service to employees, visitors, and contractors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must possess a current armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
