As a Security Professional - Armed Government Patrol Part-Time in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at government locations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential risks.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and designated areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible security-related presence.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports on daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
  • Assist government employees, visitors, and/or members of the public with security-related inquiries and concerns in a professional manner.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and local law enforcement as needed during incidents or emergencies at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid Armed Guard Card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
  • Must have at least 6 months of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
