Job Description


As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver Chemical Site in Texas City, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol professional at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will actively monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents. You will maintain a visible presence, support a secure environment, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards.
  • Monitor the chemical and petrochemical facility for unusual activity and report findings according to protocol.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and/or contractors as needed.
  • Document all incidents and observations in accordance with Allied Universal policies and client requirements.
  • Follow all site-specific guidelines and instructions to support the overall security-related objectives of the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Supervisory experience is required.
  • A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
