As a Security Professional - Unarmed Transit Facility Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. What You'll Do:

  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and the public by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for transportation locations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor for suspicious behavior or activity around transportation areas, reporting any concerns to Allied Universal management and/or local authorities as directed.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter disruptive behavior and provide assistance to individuals as needed.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, employees, and/or the public to address questions, provide directions, and offer general security-related support.
  • Document incidents and security-related activities accurately and promptly according to Allied Universal and client site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
