Job Description


As a Security Officer - TWIC Access Control in Texas City, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional assigned to an access control post in a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents. You will be a visible presence, assisting with entry and exit procedures, and responding to customer needs with outstanding communication and customer service. You will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment, while embracing our values of integrity, teamwork, and caring for people. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and control access points at the location to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain authorized personnel flow.
  • Follow established site-specific policies and procedures related to access control in a chemical and/or petrochemical environment.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors, contractors, and employees with access-related inquiries and documenting entry as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, utilizing problem-solving skills to address access control or security-related concerns.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the premises and perimeter to observe and report irregularities associated with access control.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records of access control activities, visitor entries, and incident reports as required by the site.
  • Participate in emergency response activities and support evacuation or lockdown procedures in accordance with site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA is required.
  • Experience providing customer service is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
