Job Description


As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Government in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. Your routine patrols and proactive presence will support a secure environment, and you will interact with the public to provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, participating in emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the needs of the location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols within government buildings and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual situations encountered during patrols or while on duty.
  • Work collaboratively with location staff and visitors to provide assistance and information as needed.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents and provide reassurance to those at the location.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols and procedures as outlined by management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
