Job Description


As a Security Guard Armed Patrol Government Driver in Bell Gardens, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Security Officer at a prominent government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and provide a secure environment. This is an armed and driving position, where your presence and professionalism support the daily operations of the facility. You will interact with the public, deliver exceptional customer service, and respond to various situations with integrity. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential threats.
  • Monitor access points and control entry to restricted areas in accordance with site protocols.
  • Assist law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as directed during incidents.
  • Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during patrols and while on duty.
  • Maintain a visible and professional presence to help to deter potential security-related concerns within the government environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of one year of security-related experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Baton certification is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
