Job Description


As a Security Officer - Financial Patrol Driver in Lynchburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer within a financial institution setting, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment. This is a driving post, so you will operate a vehicle as part of your routine patrols. You will remain visible throughout your shift, interact professionally with employees and visitors, and provide top-tier customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations within financial institution locations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter security-related incidents. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
  • Observe and report activities and incidents at the location to maintain a visible presence and support a secure environment.
  • Assist employees, visitors, and/or customers as needed, offering directions or information as appropriate.
  • Work closely with Allied Universal management and local law enforcement when necessary to address security-related concerns at the site.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Must be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or an equivalent program.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
