As a Security Officer - Healthcare Facility Patrol PT in Orange, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, providing outstanding customer service, and serving as a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

  • Provide excellent customer service to individuals at the healthcare location by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies and/or responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, taking appropriate action while maintaining professionalism.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verifying credentials to help to deter unauthorized access as applicable to the healthcare environment.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and/or concerns according to established procedures.
  • Collaborate with on-site staff and emergency personnel as needed to assist during incidents or drills within the healthcare location.
  • Remain visible and approachable to staff, visitors, and/or patients while performing patrols, offering assistance when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
