Job Description


As a Security Guard - Armed Government Patrol Coordinator in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer supporting the government sector, you will actively monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and interact with individuals on site, providing exceptional customer service and communication. This is an armed position, and you will play an important role in supporting security-related needs at your assigned location. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the government facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
  • Monitor access points and assist with enforcing site policies and procedures.
  • Report suspicious activities and/or security-related breaches in accordance with established protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed during incidents.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of patrols, activities, and incidents.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to any security-related emergencies specific to a government location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years combined experience in law enforcement, military, or security-related roles or possess a college degree.
  • An Armed Guard Card or license is required.
  • Applicants must provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Baton certification is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
