Job Description


As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol in Jeffersonville, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence at a healthcare location. Your role involves monitoring assigned areas, assisting visitors and staff, and providing prompt communication and exceptional customer service. You will play a key part in fostering a welcoming environment while upholding Allied Universal's values of reliability, teamwork, and integrity. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and by supporting emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, assisting with resolution according to site guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and to report any unusual conditions or potential hazards.
  • Document observations and incidents using appropriate reporting methods as outlined by Allied Universal and site procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare staff and visitors to maintain a professional presence and support a welcoming environment.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols for access control, visitor management, and incident escalation as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
