As a Security Professional - Entry Gate Access Control in Renton, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in access control at a leading aerospace and defense location. You will monitor entrances and exits, manage badges, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents while providing excellent customer service. This role involves interacting with staff, visitors, and contractors to maintain a secure environment. What You'll Do:

  • Control access to restricted areas by verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the location.
  • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors and employees with access-related inquiries and directions within the facility.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activities and report any security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Document and report all access control activities and incidents according to Allied Universal policies and client requirements.
  • Collaborate with site management and law enforcement as needed to address security-related issues at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
