Job Description


As a Security Officer - Commercial Real Estate Patrol in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a dynamic commercial real estate location, helping to deter security-related incidents and contributing to a welcoming environment. Your presence and interaction with tenants and visitors will foster a sense of confidence while you conduct routine patrols and manage access control. By providing exceptional service and clear communication, you will play a key role in supporting our caring, reliable, and innovative culture, always acting with integrity and teamwork at the forefront.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the building and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or potential threats within the commercial real estate location.
  • Assist visitors, tenants, and staff with inquiries and directions as needed.
  • Follow all post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal management.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs or reports of patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities.
  • Work collaboratively with other Allied Universal team members to help to provide a secure environment for all occupants and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
