As a Security Professional - Commercial Lobby Security PT in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will serve as the first point of contact for tenants, visitors, and staff. Your role involves managing access control, verifying credentials, and assisting guests with a welcoming and professional demeanor. You will help to deter security-related incidents by maintaining a visible presence and communicating clearly with all individuals at the site. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and tenants by carrying out security-related procedures at the front desk in alignment with site-specific policies and protocols.
  • Monitor access to the commercial real estate location, verifying identification and logging visitor information as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, following appropriate emergency response activities when necessary.
  • Assist with delivery and contractor check-ins and/or visitor management, maintaining detailed records as needed.
  • Communicate professionally with building management, tenants, and Allied Universal staff to report concerns and relay important information.
  • Observe the lobby and entry areas to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or policy violations.
  • Assist in maintaining a welcoming environment at the front desk while remaining alert to security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Experience in customer service is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
