As a Security Officer - Government Patrol Full-Time in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence and attentive observation. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, engaging with individuals on-site, and delivering exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond calmly and professionally to incidents and critical situations, utilizing problem-solving skills to assist in resolution.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter, noting and reporting any unusual activity or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other areas within the property to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Document observations and incidents in detailed and accurate reports as required by Allied Universal and site procedures.
  • Communicate clearly with supervisors, law enforcement, and/or emergency personnel as situations require.
  • Remain alert and attentive to the surroundings in varying work environments and conditions specific to a government setting.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
