As a Security Officer - Armed Government Flex Patrol in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, providing a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Your role involves conducting routine patrols and responding to situations as needed, while delivering excellent customer service and communication. This position requires carrying a firearm and upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities, with working environments and conditions varying by the site.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related incidents and provide reassurance to personnel and visitors.
  • Monitor the premises for any suspicious activity or security-related hazards and report findings according to procedures.
  • Carry and responsibly handle a firearm as required for the armed patrol post, adhering to all applicable laws and Allied Universal policies.
  • Interact professionally with personnel, visitors, and the public while upholding the standards of Allied Universal.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3 years or more of prior law enforcement, military or adult corrections experience or a complete bachelors degree in Criminal Justice is required. 
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
