As a Security Professional - Armed School Site in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal in an educational setting, you will conduct regular patrols throughout the location to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for students and staff. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the building and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter potential security-related issues within the educational environment.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, students, and visitors, providing assistance and guidance as needed.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal policies and the location's procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with local authorities and first responders during emergencies or critical incidents as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Must possess a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
