As a Security Professional - Healthcare Patrol Driving Role in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a healthcare location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents and support a welcoming environment. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, responding to security-related situations, and delivering outstanding customer service through clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare locations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure atmosphere.
  • Monitor and report any unusual activity or potential security-related hazards encountered during patrols.
  • Assist in emergency response activities as required, including supporting medical staff and guiding people during incidents.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs or reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by site-specific policies.
  • Collaborate with medical staff and other personnel to address and resolve security-related concerns in a professional manner.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
