Job Description


As a Security Guard - Access Control Patrol Driver in Elizabethtown, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a dynamic automotive manufacturing location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a strong visible presence. Your role involves performing routine patrols, managing access points, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. What You'll Do:

  • Control access to the location by verifying credentials and authorizations of employees, visitors, and vehicles entering the premises.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Provide customer service by assisting individuals with directions, answering basic questions, and explaining site policies related to access control.
  • Respond to incidents and security-related situations in a calm, problem-solving manner according to site procedures.
  • Document and report any irregularities, security-related incidents, or unauthorized persons to site supervision and/or law enforcement as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to observe for irregularities and help to deter criminal activity.
  • Follow site-specific policies and procedures as directed by Allied Universal and the client.
  • Assist with emergency response activities, including providing access to emergency personnel when required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
