As a Security Guard - Shelter Patrol in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling the shelter location. Your visible presence and routine patrols contribute to a welcoming atmosphere, and you will engage with staff and residents to provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the needs of individuals at the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or incidents to Allied Universal management and/or local authorities as required.
• Interact professionally with residents, staff, and visitors, providing assistance and guidance as needed within the shelter environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and provide proof as required by the client.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
