As a Security Guard - Armed Flex Government Patrols in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in supporting a secure environment at a government location. This post requires driving and carrying a firearm while on duty. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities, as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner in a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols, both armed and unarmed as necessary, around the site and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for any unusual activity or situations that might require intervention or reporting.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and activities during each shift as required by Allied Universal and the site.
  • Work collaboratively with other Allied Universal personnel and location staff to address security-related concerns.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies, following established protocols for the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • 3 years or more of prior law enforcement, military or adult corrections experience or a complete bachelors degree in Criminal Justice is required.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
