As a Screener in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within the healthcare location.
  • Screen individuals entering the facility to help maintain a secure environment and monitor compliance with entry requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Monitor and control access points to the healthcare location, verifying identification and credentials as required.
  • Assist with crowd control and support the orderly flow of individuals through entry and exit points.
  • Document and report any unusual activity or incidents according to site protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare facility staff to address security-related needs and support a welcoming atmosphere.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
